The Walking Birds

A unique look at the family life of the turkey-sized Ground Hornbill. Led by a single female surrounded by 3 or 4 male 'minions', the group walks many kilometers a day, foraging for prey from chameleons and mice to snakes and frogs. The group cooperatively raises a single chick, hidden in a nest hole high in the trunk of a large tree. But there is intrigue in this family, as emerging behaviour patterns cause stress amongst the members of the group.
