Why are AEFF's films helpful to other environmental & conservation organizations?

Rather than competing with them, AEFF’s films compliment the work of other environmental or conservation organizations. Laying a foundation of environmental education through film will make their task easier, by increasing awareness and instilling in people a positive attitude towards conservation, and allowing their projects to have a greater impact, more quickly. Promoting the good work of these conservation organizations will also encourage more people to take active steps towards protecting their environment and wildlife.

In the past, many conservation organizations in East Africa had lamented the lack of films in Swahili and other local languages, which are always needed as teaching tools.

In response to this need, AEFF’s films are:

  • Creating awareness of the direct link between wildlife and increased prosperity
  • Publicizing the role of National Parks and other Protected Areas
  • Reducing human/wildlife conflict through education
  • Showing how protecting land for wildlife & tourism, also protects other vital resources for the whole region
  • Promoting activities that create awareness of the need to conserve biodiversity
  • Supporting initiatives that reduce the threat to biodiversity

If you represent an educational, environmental or conservation organization and you would like to use AEFF films as a teaching tool, please email us with your request and contact details. Thank you.
