Why is AEFF's role so significant?

AEFF’s films play an important role in the provision of environmental education and the promotion of discussion by:

• distributing educational DVDs and videos free of charge so that all people can have access to the films
• showing options that are available to ordinary people to allow them to create a better standard of living by focusing on more efficient, less damaging ways to utilize their natural resources
• providing information about what is happening both positively and negatively to the environment, thereby promoting ecological awareness
• recognizing individuals and organizations who are active in conservation with positive effects
• adapting films for international audiences, to show how destruction of the environment causes poverty and insecurity, and creating an interesting cross-cultural bridge of information

AEFF’s films enable our children and youth to make up their own minds about their environment and ultimately to plan a vision for their future that will not only be a long-term investment for Africa, but also for the international community.
